IMPACTFUL & FUN In-School field trip for UNDER $3.50 A STUDENT !!
Extreme weather takes center stage in this full dome show revealing images not seen by naked eye due to their life-threatening nature. Using real movies and NASA based images, Force Five offers the audience a vantage that would never be safe in the real world, creating a sense of what it would look and feel like if you were standing in the middle of a deadly storm. "Experience a storm without getting wet!"
The final journey of FORCE FIVE transports the audience to the surface of the sun, where the most powerful storms in the solar system occur. The violent force of these solar events equals the energy output of a million hydrogen bombs. NASA spacecraft monitor the Sun and the solar wind to help us understand and predict nature's next move.
General audience grades 2 - 8 Teachers' materials and Next Gen Science Standards alignments information.
Learn the secrets of the “rainforests of the sea” as you embark on an oceanic safari of the world’s most vibrant—and endangered—marine ecosystems.
Narrated by Tony Award® winner Lea Salonga, the all-digital Expedition Reef immerses you in the undersea adventure. Along the way, discover how corals grow, feed, reproduce, and support over 25% of all marine life on Earth—while facing unprecedented threats from climate change, habitat destruction, and overfishing.
“This is a difficult story [and] a turning point for reefs,” says Academy scientist and reef expert Dr. Rebecca Albright, “but it’s not too late.”
Fly through the carotid artery; explore the eye, brain, ear, and heart.
Then, shrink into a cell to see its nucleus and DNA within.
Discover how DNA programs the body’s cells to form the circulatory and nervous systems. Then watch from inside as we use lasers to fight disease at the cellular level.
Travel through space and time and look at Earth in a whole new way.
A sweeping geological journey, Earthquake: Evidence of a Restless Planet explores the forces that transform the surface of our planet.
Fly along the San Andreas Fault before diving into the planet’s interior. Journey back in time to witness the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, and the break-up of Pangaea 200 million years ago. Visit the sites of historical earthquakes from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pacific Ocean.
Learn how scientists and engineers collaborate to help society prepare for a safer environment — and a safer future.
Two Small Pieces of Glass – The Amazing Telescope fulldome show follows two students as they interact with a female astronomer at a local star party.
Along the way, the students learn the history of the telescope from Galileo’s modifications to a child’s spyglass — using two small pieces of glass — to the launch of the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope and the future of astronomy.
Aiming to engage and appeal to audiences of all ages, the show explores the wonder and discovery made by astronomers throughout the last 400 years.
Welcome to Molecularium: a magical, musical adventure into the world of molecules! This show is an exciting new animation created to spark interest in the atoms and molecules that constitute our world.
You’ll be following a cast of characters, based on atoms, as they move throughout the universe from the perspective of a magical ship, also called the Molecularium. The ship can view matter on both the human and molecular levels.
Preschool and Kindergarten special event.
Elmo and Big Bird live in the United States and Hu Hu Zhu lives far away in China, but they discovered that they still see the same stars at night!
The word for star in Chinese is “xīng xing” (pronounced sing sing). How many “xīng xing” do you see in this sky?

We use our dish to ‘listen’ to the sun’s solar radio emissions . The dish is an “Itty Bitty Radio Telescope“- a small radio telescope that can be used for simple and educational radio astronomy experiments. The telescope consists of a 26 inch TV dish with low noise block down converter (LNB), a satellite finder, and a NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR connected to a laptop running different kinds of signal processing software.
Have a look and a listen the next time you are visiting us .
The Space Travel Dome’s education team will be hosting some radio astronomy workshops beginning Fall 2023 where you can learn and participate in real science!
We can explore more exciting subjects than Space in the Dome! Look for new STEM subjects from weather to deep sea and more, all with the same immersive 360 projection.
